Sharing is caring!

Let’s be honest, sometimes Summer = Chaos! We want to help you bring a little structure to your kids daily routine with our Best Summer Schedule for Kids. A 3-month calendar for you to write in baseball games, lessons, movie nights, vacations, a complete daily block schedule and a bucket list all in one! Download and print in any size you want! I like mine poster size to tape to the back of the door leading to the garage.

Best Summer Schedule for Kids: 3-Month Calendar

Covering June, July and August, the purpose of the 3-month calendar is so that all of the kids know what’s going on each day. It really helps kids to complain less about lessons and practices when they know it’s coming and can prepare for it. Another fun thing about the big 3-Month Calendar is writing in all of the vacations and fun things coming up. My kids love seeing that “Friday is movie night!” or “Bear Lake trip is this weekend!”

My sisters- in-law and I like to meet at a park at the beginning of the summer every year and plan some fun things together (park dates, going to the lake, hiking, etc). I like to write cousin things in a certain color, vacations in another, sports in another to help my kids more easily prepare for what’s coming.

Best Summer Schedule for Kids: Complete Daily Block Schedule

The best way to use the complete daily block schedule is your own way! Some people like to designate specific times for certain things: 8 am – Morning Chores, 10 am – Reading Time, 12 pm – Practice time, etc. Others like to give a certain amount of time per block: an hour for chores, 20 minutes of reading, 30 minutes of practice. Personally, I like to gage my kids and how they are doing that day. When they start acting up or getting bored, we move on to the next block. This list has a section for you to customize to your own family and priorities by filling in a few blocks that are important to you.

Best Summer Schedule for Kids: Summer Fun Bucket List

We like to call our “Bucket List” a fun list. This is a list the kids come up with of things they want to do before the summer is over. My favorite part about the Fun List is that when we have nothing to do, we check the list and find activities that we were already excited to do. I also love sitting down with my kids to plan when we are going to do the things on our Fun List!

How to Print in a Larger Size

You can download each printable, order your print online at FedEx then easily print it out in whatever size you’d like. We did a 36×48 engineering print for the printables. The 18×24 is $2.25, 24×36 is $$4.50 and the  $9! The instructions are down below.

And if you’d rather just print it at home, that’s great too. Just print out the download each printable and you’re good to go.

An Engineer Print is a print on large piece of regular paper. They are super cheap when printed in black and white. Our printables were made to make it easy and affordable, so they are in black and white.

WHERE TO PRINT THE Best Summer Schedule for Kids

We use FedEx Kinkos. You can easily order your print in any size online and pick it up within an hour! They are good to work with and our prints have always been amazing!
