The Best Homemade Raspberry Ice Cream Recipe
To Start:
You’ll need a couple of my very favorite ice cream making tools.
- I love the Nostalgia Ice Cream Maker because it is high quality and holds 6 quarts of ice cream, making it easy to make plenty for family and friends. That’s way more than any other ice cream maker on the market.
- Of course, you’ll need ice cream salt because this ice cream maker requires ice (the only REAL way to make ice cream).
- Also, make sure you have a 10 lb bag of ice.
- An extra long serving spoon to make it easy to get that delicious ice cream out!
- And last, but not least, these are my favorite ice cream containers, just in case you have any extra. Not likely, but just in case.
Ingredients:
- 3 Packages Frozen Raspberries (thawed)
- 3 Cups Sugar
- 3 Bananas (mashed)
- 1 Cup Orange Juice
- 3 oz Lemon Juice
- 2.5 Pints Half & Half
- 1/2 Pint Whipping Cream
Directions:
Pour ingredients into canister and stir. Follow directions for ice cream maker. Voila! 30 minutes later, have delicious, easy homemade ice cream!
***Put the canister into the ice cream maker before you add the ice (make sure the lid is on – you don’t want rock salt in your ice cream). When you add the ice, add it a fourth of the way up, then sprinkle a fourth a cup of ice cream salt. Then another fourth of ice and fourth a cup of ice cream salt – until you reach the top and ice is covering the lid. Set the motor in place, plug her in and let her go!
