I LOVE weightlifting! There are so many benefits mentally and physically! I also think it’s important to accompany your lifting withm 20 minute quick cardio workout. I try to give myself a 20 minute quick cardio workout each day. Let’s be real though, the amount of running around we ALL do in a day amounts to far more than 20 minutes! This quick cardio workout is intended to get your heart rate up QUICKLY and make you work up a SWEAT! Burpees, Combat Punches, Jumping Jacks, Squat Jumps, Jog in Place, and Skiers are a great quick cardio workout combination. Follow it up with one of my weight lifting routines for a full body workout!
Quick Cardio Workout!
Do each exercise for 1 minute. After you’re done with all 6, rest for one minute, grab a drink, then repeat. You should be able to get through it 3 times in 20 minutes! Enjoy this quick cardio workout!
1- Burpees | 1 Minute
- Jump in the air with arms up! Drop to the floor in push-up position, roll to your belly, then get up and jump again!
2- Combat Punches | 1 Minute
- Fists Up! Squat down and punch with alternating arms.
3- Jumping Jacks | 1 Minute – 20 minute quick cardio workout.
- Just the old school jack! Arms and legs jump out then in….over and over again 🙂
4- Squat Jumps | 1 Minute
- Squat down like a frog, hands on the floor. Jump into the air, arms extended into the air! Land in froggy position and repeat!
5- Jog in Place | 1 Minute – 20 minute quick cardio workout.
- Just how it sounds! Keep those knees up and arms pumping!
6- Skiers | 1 Minute – 20 minute quick cardio workout.
- Hop from side to side. When you land on your right leg, bend your knee and let the left foot extend a couple feet behind you. Let the left hand touch the floor. When you hop to your right leg, bend your knee and let the left leg extend behind you a couple feet. Let the right hand touch the floor. There’s your 20 minute cardio!
