You can buy light switches that are smart light switches. You can program on the app where the switch is. When you come home you can say, “Alexa, turn on the kitchen lights.” and on they go. Or better yet, when you’re laying in bed and instead of getting up to turn the lights off, rather have Alexa to it for you!

You can also purchase smart bulbs . They work similar to the switches. You can control the color of the bulb and there is a schedule feature. Now you don’t have to mess with plug in timers for your lights!

2- ECHO DOT ALARM/ MORNING ROUTINE

This such a fun thing for adults AND kids! You can program your Alexa to play your favorite song to wake you up, share what the weather will be for the day, tell you a joke, what the traffic is going to be, and the list goes on and on. You can have her do one or all of them. This is all programed under the app!

When you go out of town or you’re going to be gone for a while, you can have Alexa do “Runaway” mode and it will play voices talking. If anyone sketchy comes to your door they will think people are home. They will be the ones running away and not wanting to break into your house!!

This is such a great feature! What’s the weather, what movies are playing at the theater, when does this restaurant close. It defiantly comes in handy. It’s also nice when kids are doing homework and aren’t sure about something, they can ask Alexa:)

On the app there is a spot for lists. At anytime you can have Alexa add anything you want to your list. You know when you’re in your kitchen and notice an item that’s low or gone, while it’s on your mind you can call out to Alexa to add that item right to your grocery list.
