What is a Hitt Workout?
At home HIIT workouts are intended to kick your butt and get you into shape fast! According to Wikipedia, a Hiit Workout or High-intensity interval training, also called high-intensity intermittent exercise or sprint interval training, is a form of interval training. It’s a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods, until too exhausted to continue.
Do HIIT Workouts Build Muscle?
HIIT is definitely a CARDIO workout; But guess what?! I’m a weight lifting chick! It was a piece of cake to combine this calorie burning BEAST of a workout with my FAVORITE muscle building exercises! It’s seriously the best of both worlds all wrapped into a 20 minute workout.
If you already have a great cardio routine like running, dancing, soccer or whatever; try and include STRENGTH TRAINING into your program! How many times per week should I do HIIT training?
